Default Proc rates info

this pretty well fits in with the theory that all procs have an equal chance to proc in any given round, except if a primary proc goes off in that round, then an augment or buff can't, and if an augment goes off, then a buff can't. so... the number of rounds are reduced and apparent proc rate is reduced for the procs with lower precedence.


here are formulas i propose to estimate proc rates based on weapon delay:

definitions:
D: default proc rate (2 per minute at 305 dex)
M: modification to standard proc rate (for weapons with non standard proc rates)
P: primary proc rate
A: augment proc rate
W: weapon affinity mod (1 + WA level / 10)
delay: weapons hasted delay (ie, this is 15 for a 30 delay weapon at 100% haste)


primary proc rate: D * W * M
augment proc rate: D * W * (1 - delay * P / 600)
buff proc rate: D * (1 - delay * P / 600 - delay * A / 600)

now... here are expected proc rates based on this, at 305 dexterity:

wa: weapon affinity level
pri: primary proc rate (unaffected by weapon delay)
aug: augment proc rate
buf: buff proc rate (with augment)
bna: buff proc rate (with no augment)
(all proc rates are in procs/minute)

for example for the augment proc rate:
with my 30 delay weapon and 41% haste, the delay was 30 / 1.41 = 21.277
so expected proc rate was 3 * (1 - 3 * 21.277 / 600) = 3 * (1 - 0.1064) = 2.68 expected ppm, which is just about what happened over the 5 hour parse.

no, and you can't proc with a 2h bash either, or on a riposte. proc checks only occur at the beginning of each combat round. combat rounds go like this:
primary proc chance OR secondary proc
buff proc OR other buff proc OR other buff proc
ToTC proc
swing
another swing if dual wield checks
another swing if triple attack checks

the +combat effects on items is apparently a proc mod. warriors i know luv the mod for agro procs

Ban him, please. You are, of course, not incorrect. Combat Effects is apparently added to your weapon's ProcMod, where 100 is the normal 2PPM. In other words, you will average roughly 1% more procs per minute for each point of Combat Effects.

I still think you should be banned, you annoy me, and that's not easy to do.
